Advanced Care Hospital of Southern New Mexico

I've left 3 messages with staff trying to reach a patient. I've received no response. Called during business hours. I will be reporting them to the state.

Very professional. My mother was here for 10 days and received the best rehabilitation possible.

If I could give this place a negative 5 .I would. My father was there three times. First in the LTAC center then twice in the rehab. The last time he was in the rehab. He contracted SCABIES there. I had to bring it to their attention that my father was very itchy and not comfortable. The nurses blew me off until I insisted for him to be checked out. When they did check him out and diagnosed him with Scabies. They tried to push blame on Mountain View Hospital, where he had been transferred from. Believe me I raised hell!!! Case managers contacted me with a million and one excuses! None of which made any since. Always trying to say it didn't come from there facility. According to them, remarkably he was able to come home. They released my dad and we went home after he was no longer contagious. We never returned. Recently my father was admitted into the hospital and needed LTAC care again unknowing of the prior situation. The hospital contacted this facility and the hospital told me that this facility WOULD NOT take my father back. ???? as if my father did anything wrong??? As if I, as my fathers only advocate , did anything wrong!!!! This place is unsanitary. The staff instead of correcting the matter, made excuses. I wouldn't take a stray dog there. Much less a loved one. Stay away from this place!

This facility is outstanding in every respect. The rehab staff are first rate, the occupational staff are also first rate, the nurses are excellent, attentive and knowledgeable, the techs do an incredible job handing patient needs, the doctor I had was excellent in every way and the overall atmosphere is oriented to healing. It's a warm, friendly and supportive environment. I have a deep sense of gratitude for the care I received. Five stars +!

The nurses, aids, physical therapists, and doctors were outstanding and looked like they loved their jobs. My concern was that my mother was released to early. The hospital said she was ready to return to her independent living apartment. After 2 days/nights of requiring someone with her all the time at her apartment we had to check her into a different rehabilitation facility so she could continue to work on regaining her strength.
