Avis Car Rental

Best Avis ever! The guys working there were super personable and went out of their way to service us. I certainly won't ever rent at another rental place when in Manhattan again! Good job, Avis!

We are from Belgium and were on holiday in the US during several weeks. Unfortunately, we are really disappointed in AVIS service. We received a GPS system that didn't work. We paid 100 dollars for it! And we had to use our 4G, so you can imagine the extra costs. When we brought back our car in NY, we complained at the desk but the person did not wanted to help us. Two days later, we came back to see another person of the staff. She was really nice and promised us to arrange a cash back. But unfortunately we never received any feedback or money back.

Facility and people quick, helpful, clean... in and out in 5 minutes both for pickup and drop off

Appreciated friendly and professional staff, convienient location. Cars are good and clean. Overseas customers would definitely benefit from a wifi device (smart phone like) with unlimited internet, also serving as satnav and phone, with 60 min calls/day worldwide.

I have to downgrade my review from 2 star to 1 star. I have rented from here 3 times so far. (have been renting avis for over 3 years for business travel across the USA). I am starting to think about switching to other vendors based on the service and the vehicles I am receiving at this location. The cars I received consistently smelled like someone had smoked in them. The outside of the cars are washed, however the inside is not cleaned at all. Older car models. In addition, they never pick up their phone. I have left a personal toll tag in the car and called them at least 5 different times before giving up. The service here is not predictable. I usually avoid busy times as they are not staffed to handle more than 2 customers at any time. The staff is trying to do their best, however I think its mismanaged. They can simply look at the reviews and other metrics to improve their service...
