Dollar Rent a Car

I was really skeptical about using this company. But I needed to be in Queens in less than an hour and after a mix-up with another rental service I had no choice. I was able to call up and get a car right away (even though it was a last minute reservation during graduation weekend). There was only 1 receptionist but she was very friendly. She made sure that I was well taken care of. I'm only giving 4 stars because the valet people were a bit slow, but there were only 2 and the wait wasn't long (about 15-20 minutes). Seeing the other reviews I was EXTREMELY cautious. I even made sure to take pictures of the gas tank and mileage levels just in case. Overall I had a wonderful experience with this company. The car was clean, serviced and got me from South Jersey, Queens and Brooklyn with no problems. Not sure if I'll be using this company again, but as a first time customer they did deliver. *****UPDATE Just rented again from them. Had a great experience and was able to check in early online. Everything was ready when I arrived.

BEWARE! THIS ADDRESS DOES NOT EXIST! Moved to 126 w 55th street. No signs, call center entirely unhelpful. The guy at the parking garage down the street told us where to go. Do not use!

Excellent customer service and they always know what they are doing and take care of the customers quickly. Even the guys getting the cars are great. They are happy and eager to help. :)

Location doesn't exist. New pick up point is located at the back of the Hertz building on W 55th st. Was never informed of this and spent an hour trying to find it. No signage outside either location. Car was not up to standard with lots of body damage and not properly valeted.

I was very sceptical because of all the negative reviews here, but everything worked out perfect. It was a very good experience. I was not charged more than expected. The personal was kind and helpful. The car was perfect. I will definitely rent a car here again.
