We were the ONLY customers to rent a canoe the day we went, camp host was extremely rude and tried to charge us 10$ per 30 mins late, even though there is a sign in the store that CLEARLY states it is 5$ per extra HOUR (which we were more than happy to pay). Given there were about 8 extra canoes that weren't rented out, we were not troubling anyone else. We were only 45 minutes late and the camp host legitimately sent the park RANGER out to signal us down with his cop car lights and horn/megaphone stop us. After we returned our canoe the host got in his car and left th office, leaving his job an hour and 45 minutes early just because it was a slow day. Terrible experience due to awful customer service. Would never rent a canoe/kayak again from this scheming camp host again. That being said the camping is decent and the lady helping him was quite nice.

Go early to rent canoes/kayaks. Easy rental process. Nice water trails.

It's a really beautiful place with a lot of trails. I climbed that one iconic hill with the rocks that look like fingers. There is limited parking. In general, it's really nice. Hope this helps!

My son's go out there all the time to ride their dirt bikes. They also camp. I live close so I go out to visit with them when they are here.

Love hiking and fishing here. Very clean. Only downside is you can always hear the gun fire from the shooting range. Sounds like a war zone at times.
