Wakonda State Park

Camped here for a weekend. Not bad at all, but given that we weren't swimming, fishing, or boating, it was by no means exceptional. Shower house was a bit below Mo state park standards. We'd give it another shot in warmer weather.

Visited as a pitstop on a 16 hour trip. Serene area, a great random stop. Spent a few hours looking for the Panther everyone has been mentioning lately...

Love coming here. Trails are good. Swimming is great. Love it.

An amazing place to get away from the rush of the world. Clean and tidy, the campsites are well maintained. Weeds and brush are clear from your site. The campsites are not too close but if you're a social butterfly they are perfect for getting to know your neighbors. The geese are vocal in the mornings and make up for no alarm clock. The park officials brought wood around for purchase if you were running low and we're very pleasant. Camping day starts at 3pm so you don't have to rush to get packed up on your departure day. There were hundreds of campers and children present arena made the area seem arendlive arendlive inviting. We rented a canoe and paddled our Sunday away in yhe spring sun making a glorious weekend complete. We will be returning every chance we get this summer. 4 thumbs up, mine and yours will be up as well.

Great place for family camping! Plan ahead tho fills up fast!
