The place in really nice. The people in charge on the park are funny, have great conversations and are always helpful. The park itself is pretty and far away enough from big cities that you can actually enjoy the stars and some peace at night. Maybe not so great during the early morning with all the boats, but is still good. The only bad thing for me is that is a little too far away. Lovely place in any case.

Natural, scenic park on Mark Twain Lake with well-kept nature trails, plenty of opportunities for boating and fishing, great for families (especially with the educational programs). There's a fantastic visitor center a few miles away and Union covered bridge in Paris, MO, is about 20 min away. The state park is immaculately clean, has a great variety of amenities, and the host staff was friendly and helpful. I rate this state park two thumbs way up!

this is a beautiful state park. the camping prices are great and the amenities are awesome! I enjoyed my visit. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who's looking for a great weekend or even week or day trip here in our home state.

Great place to camp. We found a fantastic spot this summer and really enjoyed the time we had at Mark Twain Lake. There is also a good variety of hiking trails. Many miles of adventure with lots of them near the shore line for a great view of the lake. There are also cabins to rent that look nice. Haven't tried boating yet but it is on the wish list.

My wife I camped here for 3 nights during July of 2017. What a great park. The campsites were spaced apart, paved roads, clean bathrooms, individual shower rooms, great hiking trails, and a nice lake. The historic site was small but gave a nice overview of Mark Twain and his life.
The camp hosts, the Bender family, were awesome. Bob was hilarious and really made us feel welcome!
