Huckleberry Kids Pond

The pond is cute - crowded. A lot of lines in the water, but we still managed to catch something. Great set up. 4 stars due to the surprise I received at the end! We wanted to make sure our son knew that catching a fish meant eating it - it's important to use the animal, etc. Apparently the law says you can't clean a live fish. So the staff bludgeoned it with a baseball bat first to kill it before cleaning it. My son watched. He's still sobbing. He had nightmares. I wish I'd have known so I could prepare him better. Needless to say... we didn't eat our catch.

staffs are friendly and great, went there on May 5th Sat, they restocked 2 days before with catfishes. They gave us live jumbo earthworms as bait, fishes bite within 1 minute. Spend an hour there is good enough. Need to watch where you're stepping, lots of poops from all the animals and birds there. Dont forget $8 per pound with no catch and release. 3 catfishes will set you around $50 average weight for catfish there is about 2 lbs. (if you tie the worm with the line, not hook it with a hook, you will learn the timing of catching fish without paying $8/lbs. if you know what i am talking about)

went there 2 months ago and it was closed , I asked why at the main lake station and I was told they forgot to restock the fish? I went here again last week and it was closed again. This time there was a sign that said it was fished out. Get your S%*t together people!
