The Fly Stop

The FLY STOP retail location as well as their online store is my new "Go-To" for all things fly-fishing. I have had an amazing experience working with the crew at the retail location in kearney msea. I believe they are the same people who run,manage, and operate their online store as well. I have had the pleasure of working specifically with Alex and Dave. We literally put together an entirely custom selected guide quality freshwater outfit and all the accompanying gear, tackle, and a custom selection of flies, chosen for both species and the region you will be fishing. A special shout out to Dave. He helped me get all the required/necessary equipment, set up my fly selections in my boxes, ordered my Simms G3 guide vest. He made sure to answer any questions I had, made some great suggestions of his own and got me what I needed. I highly recommend this buisness for the quality of their product selection, customer service, location, and prices. The Fly Stop should be your first and last stop when it comes to a high quality fly shop experience.

I ordered a few dozen flies from here awhile back. They will not be getting my business again. While some of the flies were okay quality, some of them came untied in my fly box. They were that bad. The knot on many of them would just slide down the hook shank.

Support your local fly shop. These guys are knowledgeable and ready to help make fly fishing an addiction. Great to have a San Diego center for quality gear and experience.
