Incredible spot that I can’t believe I didn’t know existed until this visit. Amazing food. Had the rib and wing combo and it’s extremely generous. Great sides. Sat in the bar and had 2 bourbon barrel stouts (good variety of them) and was extremely happy with everything. Main room has such a fun and unique feel. Bunch of antique trinkets, leads into a dining area then back to bar. Can’t wait to go back.

We have heard a lot about this place and how they have "The best ribs on the river" so thought we should make the trip and see for ourselves. We were NOT disappointed. This is the perfect place for a relaxing afternoon. We went for the Easter Buffet to try several of their specialty items. They offered Ribs, Ham, Chicken, Pulled Pork Mac & Cheese, Mashed Potatoes, Baked Beans, Carrots, a large Salad Bar, several choices of deserts, and probably a few other things I didn't get a chance to try. Talk about outstanding food. Usually on a buffet, the food is a little less than first quality because of sitting for a bit. Not here. They were constantly refreshing the food so it was always first quality. Then there is the little antique type store attached. There's a lot of little trinkets to look at and they even have ice cream (if you're not too full from the awesome restaurant). Bottom line, I think they might be right saying that they have the "Best Ribs on the River". I suggest you stop by and see for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

We stopped in our way from St Paul to Holmen and the food was amazing! Service started a bit off with the cash bar in the back and a surly bartender not explaining the food ordering however once we ordered at the counter we were met with smiles and genuine hospitality that makes small towns welcoming. My bf had the Nelson cheese steak and while he usually is a critical diner was blown away by the flavor and portion size. I had the brisket and pulled pork platter, brisket had the perfect balance of fatty goodness and firm smoked flavor. This place is now on our route to stop in

The best ribs in the area. Great sandwiches, too. Never had a bad meal here.

Ozzy says: mmmnnn, you want BBQ, this is it. Best rib joint on the Great River Road. And Bourbon, oh yea, over 200 varieties, have a shot of Paddy Van Winkles with your brisket. Owner Jim has the midwests finest collection of rare Bourbon. Between the ribs and spirits you'll walk out with a satisfied smile. Tell 'em Ozzy sent you.
