They have the greatest smoked meat around, with the greatest staff you'll ever meet! Their fish is the best in the City! Every dish here has large portions, you really don't need appetizers, althogh the appetizers are fantastic, as well! Saturday's are Old Fashion days and have never had a better Old Fashion anywhere! They use real simple syrup! Freshly pressed fruit and perfectly poured! Andrew is there with a smile and great conversation! Stop at the bar for an appetizer and a drink, or take a seat and have a meal. Either way, this is the place that has a great atmosphere for anything you are looking for! You can have larger meat orders to go, so if you are looking to cater great smoked meat, contact North and South!

We had great food, more than we could eat, but above all, the staff was wonderful to my kids. As a single mom, eating out can sometimes be stressful. The servers here made it enjoyable for all of us. Thanks so much!

Every time I'm in Madison I visit. Top notch seafood and barbecue. Good prices, friendly staff. I had the shrimp special on this visit. I brought 7 co-workers with me and got many thanks for choosing it.

We ate here last night. We hadn't been here before. Fish fry was fabulous. It wasn't greasy and the fish wasn't overcooked. Kids meals were all high quality and good portions. We really enjoyed the meals and the service. Great place.

Just discovered this place. I had a brisket sandwich that was SO good! I've already made plans to return. The fact that the waiter we had was very detail-oriented and took very good care of us was an added bonus!
