Silver Spur Texas Smokehouse BBQ

Milwaukee area BBQ that you may not even know about. Their brisket and pulled pork are spot on with some of the best BBQ I've had. They also have other sandwiches (Texas Torpedo: shaved prime rib and smoked turkey), fish fry (hey, it's WI after all) and tasty southwest favorites. I highly suggest if you came for something other than smoked meats, I urge you to order the Texas Bedroll! Shaved, pulled pork, cheeses and all wrapped in a huge tortilla. You'll enjoy your meal so much that you'll return. Thing is, you'll struggle to make a selection since their menu is loaded with enticing fare. There's outdoor seating on a patio and a sizable bar too.

They catered out wedding back in 2015 and we're fantastic! Their team was helpful and the food was amazing. Just went there a few nights ago for drinks at the bar and some food and that was also a good experience. Definitely recommend.

Casing on the hot links was too thick and chewy. The ribs had too much smoke on them and the meat lacked the moist fall off the bone texture I look for in a great BBQ. Beans tasted predominantly of chile powder and the coleslaw would be better with a creamy base.

I'd like to give you a better review but as a former bar manager I was not impressed that your bartender was doing shots with her customers at 2:30pm in the afternoon. It is not ok to be drinking alcohol and serving alcohol .

I ordered the burn ends. They were just "ok". Some pieces were very chewy and it had so much bbq sauce that I couldn't taste the meat. I thought the sauce was served separately. The service itself was really good. Our server was very nice and competent. We also got our meals very quickly. I would give it a try and order something different, but the deal breaker was the water-fountain soda. It tastes very bad, like rust or metal. My husband had to order some water as the soda tasted so bad, but the water tasted the same. All water seems to come from the same source.
