Came in , they called me , then told me they weren’t ready and I should sit. Waited an hour. Was told They lost my appointment. I had to re-sign up. She took every new patient before me despite their mistake. No apology after 1:45 , was just handed a jar w no instructions. Never spoke to anyone. Place is filthy. Workers rude. A total mess
I showed up 20 minutes early for my appointment. 10 minutes after scheduled apt., the lab tech, Natalia, tells me that I'm late for my appointment and that they don't do this service after 3 PM. I told her that I had an appointment and that their website allowed me to book it. After seeing I was correct, she handed me a clipboard to fill out and didn't say anything else. She verbalized her frustration that I was going to keep her late. After being taken back with attitude, she told me that I don't have the correct registration number for the test the agency I needed it for gave me incorrect instructions. Instead of explaining this process, and allowing me to process the information which I would have respected and left calmly and upset with the other agency, she told me that I shouldn't have booked an appointment like this so late and shamed me for not knowing how this all works. It was as if she thought I understood exactly what each lab required. [By the way, I would have had that information but getting on the phone with a Labcorp rep seems near impossible as I found out when I first booked the appointment.] She Natalia became irritated and rude when I asked questions to try to understand the missing link in the problem. Each question seemed to push her buttons? And it felt like she was pushing me out quite literally by mentioning how much she has to do still and that I was wasting her time by the way there was one more patient who came in after me, and they had 30 minutes to close. I told her I didn't appreciate her pushing me out before I even fully understood, and that if I could just speak to the institution for a couple of minutes that maybe we could resolve this, or not which it seemed like she was fixed on having the latter prevail. I walked to the front waiting area because it seemed as if every second I spent in the back gave her more and more of an anxiety attack. My last interaction with her was of her tossing the intake form with my license onto the receptionist desk for me to pick up. I understand being understaffed, having too much to do, and interface mistakes like the appointment being able to be scheduled for 3:15. What I do NOT understand nor respect is that she took her frustration and was very pushy, and rushed/treated me as if I had imposed a huge burden on her when in reality we interacted for all of 2 minutes. I will definitely not return here, but it seems like it could be an OK lab if there was more staff, or simply a receptionist to help facilitate the patient education and workflow. The front desk chair was always empty which made me even wonder if they would notice that I had checked in. Had there been someone there, I could have saved myself an hour of my time, and that interaction would never have had to have happened. Such a shame. I honestly believe Natalia was just having a bad day, but taking out personal anger and directing it at someone who did nothing wrong except be misinformed is not polite. I don't think she would appreciate if someone bossed her around as I was.
Most Labcorp locations are basically the same in terms of the layout and decor. A front waiting room with reception area separated behind glass. The W.14 St. location is staffed by a friendly, efficient technician named Vitelia. She makes a blood draw quick and painless. A good tip is to make your appt. online and avoid the walk-in wait time. Make sure to upload your insurance info. Use Express check-in when you get there and the whole process goes smoothly.
Uncaring staff. Understaffed. Dirty. My doctor sent me here for lab work. I waited for 90 minutes only to get Flor. What a nasty woman. She made it clear to the patients before me... and me... that she doesn’t care at all what humans need or feel. I have small veins thanks to chemotherapy. I told Flor I’m an oncology patient, that I hydrated and ate... but needed to know how many vials she was going to draw. She huffed audibly and told me six!!!! It takes a lot for me to give two. I asked Flor for an alcohol wipe or something in case I got woozy. I also asked if she’d mind moving the vials once full so I wouldn’t see them. I pass out. She could not have cared. I know what works for me. She couldn’t budge or show a single sign of humanity. I refused to let her take my blood. I left after 90 minutes of waiting she was THAT BAD. I called my doctor and said don’t ever send anyone he cares about to this facility.
I went here for 14 doctor-ordered blood tests today. I was here a few years ago and the technician was rude and awful, so I was leery returning. This time all went great. The check in was easy definitely make an online appointment and get the barcode on your phone to use at the check-in kiosk and the female technician was kind, humorous and knew what she was doing. I was in and out in 20 minute, tops. Quite a change from last time, thankfully.
Walked in today and was well taken care of! The staff were helpful and super quick. I had been running around all morning, while fasting and these ladies made me smile and laugh. which is almost impossible to do if I haven't eaten. I had a lot of lab work to do and they made the process super easy. The self check in kiosks are easy to use as well. I will definitely return in the future.
DO NOT GO HERE. Wish I could give 0 stars - extremely rude and unhelpful staff, was yelled at and ignored. I showed up on time for my appointment, checked in, then they told me I had never checked in when I inquired what was happening 1 hour later. Finally, I was told to check in again and then provide an ambiguous number they said “call your employer” although I stated I was there for a PRE-employment test. Took around 2.5 hours to finally sort out. I was not the only one there with this sort of experience, I think about 60-70% had something to say as they left the other 30-40% probably just wanted to forget the whole experience as soon as possible.
Very rude front desk women... she seemed very upset I was there right before 3pm She was hostile and had no care to at least pretend and great me or address me professionally I dropped my mask and she also failed to provide PPE for the patients she even went further to say that they have to buy and pay for their own mask because lap Corp doesn’t provide them so we must do the same !!! and made me go buy one outside by the time I got back in she asked me why was it there and told me they stop running tests at 3pm it was before 3 when I originally got there. She said come back tomorrow and gestured to the door.
The staff is incredibly rude! I truly had one of the worst medical experiences. Wish I could give 0 stars. I arrived to my 4:30 drug screening around 4:25pm. The reception asked me for my confirmation/account document provided by my employee. I showed her a digital copy but she refused and insisted I find a place to print out a copy. Appartently this is the Stone Age. It took me about 20 minutes to find a printing service. I arrived back at this location with the printed copy and was told that the appointment was over and they were unable to perform the screening. Complete joke. Clearly the staff just wants to make you as miserable as they are.
The W-O-R-S-T. Had to just pick up a test kit ordered by my doc. Went to 14th Street office, a packed waiting room and no workers visible for ages. Left and went to their 17th Street office, and they didn't even answer the door or pick up the phone. Pathetic excuse of service for something so important as health lab testing.
