MDOT Motor Vehicle Administration

After waiting over 45 minutes to process a document for my 8-year old daughter’s injury today, in a pretty empty room, “Waseem” told me that because I wrote my name next to the driver’s license number space, that it was invalid. I apologized and told him that because she’s only 8 years old that I thought they wanted my information at the top. He scoldedly said, “It says ‘Customer Identifying Information’!” and gave me another form to have her surgeon complete...as if things are that simple and their offices are next door. I asked him if the office could fax the new form with her name in the box instead, but he refused it. He also refused to give me his name, so I asked to speak to his supervisor while I was on hold with the doctor’s office. He told me that I could speak to one of the three, but I would have to leave because he “has a customer!” I told him that the doctor’s office was on the line. He refused to speak to them. His supervisor came over and handled everything in the simplified manner that was requested; the doctor’s office faxed in another completed form with my daughter’s name at the top, and the issue was simply solved.

Needed to renew tags first visit and renew handicap placard the next. Both were handled efficiently and quickly even though there were a large number of customers waiting for service.

I was in and out in 20 minutes. The gentleman who helped me was soooo nice.

I was in and out of for a renewal in less than 15 minutes. They called my number right after it came out of the ticket machine. The guy was real nice and I was all done. Could not have been better. All the MVA's should be like this one!

Limited services with less wait time. Read carefully online so that you have everything you need the first time.
