MDOT MVA Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program

I went at 3 PM on Thursday and there was almost 0 wait time (about 2 minutes at most). The technician was friendly and professional. I was about 6 months over due and the computer told them I owed $90 in late fees. Thankfully, I went when the "nice boss" was on duty and they ended up waiving all fees without me even asking! I explained that I work every day and it's very difficult for me to take time off for minor errands like this and they were very understanding. Having your car emissions inspected is never fun, but the overwhelmingly friendly staff made it a very pleasant experience!

Quick line, polite and friendly. Have not been to other stations, but this is definitely the most pleasant interaction I’ve had with MVA.

Sadly lacking in efficient placement of personnel. ..only 1 or sometimes 2 people helping at the initial intake line ("Information") However, aside from that, and some really nasty mugs of unhappy employees, it's OK.

The wait per vehicle is about 5 minutes. They're really fast and awesome :3 10/10 would do it again plus the Haitian inspector is cute and friendly lol
