MDOT Motor Vehicle Administration

LOVE IT! I usually have good experiences at this location. Im out in less than 2 hours. The staff is usually cordial. I always go to this one. I grew up going to the largo one which was always TERRIBLE .

I've seen mostly bad reviews for this location but I haven't had a particularly bad experience here. I went to get my license today and each person who helped me was actually really friendly and pleasant. :)

I put 1 star because there no option to put zero stars. But this MVA has the worst customer service ever. They’re racist and always have an attitude. My aunt went for her driving skills test and her instructor was an old, tall, african american with glasses and being hispanic, my aunt understand english but does not speak it.Once he got in the car with her he said “If you dont speak english, leave this car right now” and he did not let her take her test. I also went today and the lady attending me was so rude and impatient. PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME IN GOING TO THIS MVA, the MVA in largo has much nicer people.

I went to do a change of address on license and to renew my registration. The greeter pointed me to the kiosk for both transactions. The lines were long as one machine was broken but staff was there to assist the costumers. Jamilla assisted us but it should be noted that she was assisting 3 other customers as well. Now ordinarily I would be concerned about this apparent lack of attention, but she was actually faster than the machines and she gave each client the service they needed with s smile and bubbly personality that defies the perception of the typical MVA/DMV employee. When we encountered a problem with our documents not coming out of the machine she escorted us over to the help desk, explained exactly what we needed to say, and told us where she would be if we needed further service. Our problem was resolved shortly there after. I don’t know how long she can keep up the breakneck speed at which she was working but I want her and her supervisors to know how much we appreciate professionalism, mastery of the technology, and her tenacity. Job well done.

I got there at 8:15 and was out by 9:30 for a new license and new registration. I think a wait is expected but they were quick and efficient for me.
