DO NOT LIVE AT METRO! Metro Property is currently being sued for their entire contract being against WV codes. They are also trying to sell at least one of their apartment complexes (Hall Valley apartments), but are unable to sell it to a different company at this time. PLEASE! SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE AND DO NOT LIVE AT METRO!
DO NOT LIVE AT METRO! This company is THE WORST company I have ever had to deal with. The employees are rude and incompetent. They provide fraudulent information to their tenants and then expect the tenants to fix their mistake. They are also big into price gauging and have even been sued in the past for it. Look it up, it is now public information! The employees also do not communicate effectively. I have had to repeat information to multiple employees in one office, because they do not know how to communicate between one another. The "security" system at Metro is non-existent. If you ever feel unsafe, immediately call the police instead of calling their "emergency" hotline. Metro will not assist you in any way during an emergency. I literally DO NOT feel safe living in their apartments. I have heard and witnessed too much that makes me scared to step foot outside of my apartment at night. The lighting around the apartment complex is minimal, and makes it easy for random people to walk up behind you using the darkness as a way to conceal themselves. While most of the neighbors I have had are friendly, I have had my fair share of dealing with nasty neighbors. Metro Property also will not help in if there is a dispute with neighbors and will allow neighbors to abuse each other, if it means Metro Property do not have to do their job and mediate the problem. The employees at Metro Property will also ignore your phone calls if they do not want to deal with you. If you want to live in a nice apartment, with employees that are competent in their job responsibilities, then DO NOT LIVE AT METRO!

I live at a Metro property (The Reserve at Berkeley) in Martinsburg, WV and love everything about it. The property is beautiful and well kept by the maintenance guys, the pricing is more than fair for the quality of the apartment and amenities you have access to as a resident that you are not charged extra fees for, like some other places I have looked at in the past. My daughter also lives at a Metro property (Valley View Woods) in Morgantown while attending WVU. Her apartment is great, she feels safe in her neighborhood, which was why we chose for her to live there. Any slight issues either one of us have ever had have been handled immediately and professionally by the maintenance staff at both locations and the leasing agents are always helpful when calling either office. I am an over the road driver and know when I'm gone all week and I come home that everything is safe and sound just like I left it. I highly recommend all Metro properties. 5 stars all the way!! *****

Way too expensive.. 735 apartment and you pay all the utilities, pets are a 250 deposit each! Cats and dogs... Then not only that but it's an extra 30 dollars FOR EACH PET added onto the rent.. Just not worth it to me.... I've heard multiple people complaining about the winter because of how steep the hill is and people not being able to leave their apartment because of it not being scraped.

As a whole, the apartment is nice, but not worth the money, especially in the economic state that WV is in right now. I stayed here for 3 years and was constantly disappointed. When I first moved in, I was told that no one smoked in that apartment, which was a lie because it smelled like a cigar box. There was an airport directly behind my window, which had bi-planes flying all day and night. Also, there is a train down the road which can wake anyone up out of a good sleep. The winter was the worse becsause the driveway was a 45 degree angle and the Management would hire very unreliable plows to make a path. There was a point where I missed work for a week because I couldn't leave the driveway without crashing down the 45 degree driveway into the trees across the road. It is on a back road, which was dangerous to drive on with the tree's blocking view of driving near children. The management failed to call the town to inform them of this, I personally called the city of Fairmont and the school located on the road to come mow their lawn and cut down trees to make it more visable. Overall, like I said, it's a good apartment, but Metro Properties management is complete crap for the money you pay them on a monthly basis.
