I met an elderly couple in there eighties at the Kansas City greyhound station. As we were all waiting for over 7 hours we found out that they were trying to get to Cedar Rapids were they had lived many years ago. They were coming from Arizona and already had a ticket to Des Moines. We helped get them a ticket from Des Moines to Cedar Rapids but it wouldn't leave until the morning. After calling many places that the couple was not able to afford, we called the Motel 6 by the airport. They showed great customer service from the beginning. I got the couple an Uber as there where no wheelchair accessible taxis at that time of night. Since, I could not leave the station I called the receptionist and asked if they could help the elderly woman into her wheelchair when they got to the motel. They said they would. Not only that when I called in the morning to see if the couple had left to make their bus, I found out the taxi that should had been wheelchair accessible was not and could not take them. The manager ended up taking the couple in there own car and they just made it to the bus. This was a special couple who were all grew fond of at the station and they got the treatment and care they deserved at Motel 6. Thank you all so much for your care!

The room was a huge mess, so they had to move my elderly friend, who flew from Washington, D.C. Metro into Des Moines, Iowa, to another room.
It was very inconvenient for my elderly friend to move from room to room.
But, the staff members were all very nice and courteous.
The location is the best, walking distance from the Des Moines International Airport and bunch of good restaurants and super Hy-Vee grocery store (that is very over-priced).

I wiated at front desk for an hour and a 1/2 with 3 employees working at front desk, but no one could not assist me by checking me in, because they were charging shifts. I had to call the toll free number for customer services to be able to get checked in by the representative that had called them at the desk. There was 3 front desk employees, one of them would've check me in, especially after 4.5 hours drive to the location. This is one of the worst customers service I've ever seen.

I was not impressed with the cleanliness of our stay. The carpets were tore up and stained. The bedding was old. There was no fridge. We also found a bug in our bed.. not impressed at all compared to the other motel 6 we have stayed in.

Room was gross. No hot water. Shower barely came on, was unable to bathe. The girls who checked me in and out where super nice, that's the only positive thing I can say about that hotel.
