Super 8 by Wyndham Des Moines

It took me until we were leaving to realise there was a coffee pot in the room. Your normal amenities were included, and the rooms were clean. Free breakfast is a plus, but I can't comment quality as I didn't try anything.

It was an OK visit, the first couple of days our room key was deactivated and we had to go get them reset. Other than that it was fine. Rooms were kept clean, beds were comfy, so not too bad of a stay overall

clean rooms but a light lingering stale smell and bed a bit hard. Someone vacuumed at 5:30 AM on a Friday morning paint peeling in bathroom ceiling and outlet cover had a chunk out of it but the staff was friendly and good breakfast. Room had microwave and mini fridge. For $50 it was a good deal.

Great place to stay OTHER than extremely rude staff!!! Three visits I ask for a late check out and they always PRETEND to do it on the computer in front of me then I am woken up early by front desk lady because somehow there was no record of me requesting late check out. Every time the lady who works mornings is extremely rude to me and my sister. Lied about the overnight employee being sick and used that as an excuse for not charging extended check out. Woman from the night before was perfectly fine. Upset that I interrupted her watching tv to ask a question. We stay here once a week for business but we will not be returning after this morning. Wanted to add that the man in room across from mine was caught smoking weed yesterday/day before and didn't check out until about 3pm. No cops called, only yelling with staff in hallway. Used to love it here but now not so much.

I don't like to leave bad reviews but the room was disgusting. There was something smeared on the walls, trash in the corner of the room, dirty towls, and a chicken bone under the bed. I told the night worker and she didnt care at all. Should have just gone somewhere else totally not worth what we spent.
