Pop Pop's Pit BBQ

I went here for lunch because of the good reviews. I am so glad that I did. This was the best pulled pork, ribs and brisket I’ve ever had. The Mac and cheese and potato salad was amazing. The only bad thing is that my vacation finishes tomorrow and I wish I found it sooner. 😢

We made the drive from N Myrtle Beach to check out this place. Well worth the drive. The ribs were rubbed & cooked just right and the bbq was great. Usually the sides are just along for the ride, but the okra, potato salad, beans could be stars of the show on their own. Service is friendly and Joe ( pop pop ) is the perfect host. If you find yourself nearby, seek out this gem.

The pulled pork tasted like bark. The pulled chicken was excellent and onion rings as well Ribs had a lot of fat. Sauce is really good fries was not bad. Not as good as advertised but some will find it worth the trip others may not. Mac n cheese was awful and potato salad was very cold and not good.

I went to Pop Pop's BBQ based on the beef brisket reviews The brisket is delicious .Very tender and flavorful. If you have a taste for brisket, this the place to go. The owner and staff are are customer service oriented. Nice folks. Didn't try anything else, but I'm sure all food choices are good.

Brisket and Pulled Pork are great, Fried Oreo's? !!!! wonderful. Great place , but hard to find. Locals for sure. Will go back to try ribs. Friendly folk, just the kind of place you love to visit. Treated like family.
