Top flight food and service from start to finish. Originally had reservations at 915pm; the staff called me and let me know an earlier reservation had opened up. Perfect evening for a post graduation celebration.

What a great experience! We let our server Alma, who was exceptional, guide us through the menu. She was one of the most passionate and best servers I have ever had. Everything that she suggested was what we ordered and I couldn’t have hope for better.

What a gem! The menu had several great selections on the night we visited (TARTINE of BEEF & PRESERVED TUNA was a particular highlight). We stuck to appetizers but made a meal out of them.
For dessert we split the "strawberry bowl" and if there's one knock against the restaurant it's that the "ingredients-as-description" style of menu writing does this particular dish an incredible disservice. It was one of the best desserts we've ever had, and all you get on the menu is "lemon, streusel, meringue." Thankfully our server recommended it, because personally I passed it right by when looking at the menu.
On that note, service was fantastic. Our server was knowledgeable about the food, offered diplomatic but useful suggestions, and was never more intrusive than she needed to be.
Overall an easy 5* experience and an emphatic recommendation to anyone headed to downtown Charleston.

FIG never disappoints. No trip to Charleston is complete for us without dinner at FIG. The servers are great and knowledgeable, the cocktails are complex and fantastic and the food is a constant delight. You're guaranteed to have a meal you will remember.

Superb. By far best restaurant of the many highly rated restaurants we’ve eaten at in Charleston - maybe even in the US. So highly reviewed we didn’t think it could live up to the hype. So leery of this, we actually were reluctant to eat here. Wow! Way exceeded our expectation. Looking at the menu we didn’t see any items that immediately drew us, but we’re confident that a highly rated chef in an excellent establishment knew what they were doing with their menu so we took the chance. So glad we did. Everything was superb, first rate, excellent. The cocktails were great. Even a simple arugula salad was taken to above and beyond levels with just a few perfectly combined ingredients. We had amberjack and triggerfish that we’re both exquisite. Service was friendly and attentive - perfect. Setting was excellent. Overall great experience that merits all the hype. Highly recommend Fig.
