Refined and Exquisite! First-rate service by consummate professionals. Always greeted by either Billy or Tommy in a recognized and welcoming manner. Service is impeccable and excellence always pursued. Oysters Rockefeller is both rich and savory. Steaks are displayed and presented for selection table-side; a grandiose presentation aimed at delivering an experience as opposed to just a meal. Bourbon selection is impressive and offers a multitude of levels for the novice to the avid palate. Desserts... need I say more?! A go-to when we have guests come to Charleston from out of town. Whether a special occasion, business dinner or a mid-week lunch, you just can't go wrong with a visit to Halls.

Best fine dining experience in Charleston by far! Its an a la carte menu and they had an impressive wine list. We tried the Tomahawk steak and various sides one of which was the corn dish with pepper jack cheese both of which were amazing. All the food was delicious but this was the tastiest streak I've had. The food presentation of colorful and the service was impressive. They would make any date night or special event superb. We've been trying to get reservations for quite some time now but they are booked sometimes months in advance. It was well worth the wait. Oh and the whiskey bourbon bread pudding will knock your socks off. This is a must try restaurant for sure!

Absolute perfection. A meal and experience not to be missed. The food is amazing, the portions are huge, the service is impeccable and the live music was wonderful. Five stars are not enough stars. This was not only a fantastic meal with fabulous, warm, friendly, efficient and professional service but an event to be savored. We were greeted at the door like long lost, dear friends and had a wonderful meal and time. One of the best dining experiences ever. It would be worth going to Charleston, SC just to have dinner at Halls Chophouse. The prime rib was huge and perfectly cooked. In one word.... Purrrrrrfect.

What an incredible dining experience! We were treated like a million bucks from the moment we sat down. We never needed for anything. Our waitress, Shawna, was superb and beyond attentive. She knew what we needed before even asking. We had two issues that were not big deals to us, but they still made good on them and took the items off our bill. We would have paid for them both without any questions. We will definitely be back! In fact, we've already made reservations for the next time we're in town.

The service was over the top fantastic. Aside from a different tables waitress snatched our drink menu without asking or even acknowledging us. Our waiter had no idea the girl did that. To be fair we went for lunch and it was during the bridge run. My wife's steak was delicious. My steak sandwich wasn't. Lots of fatty beef, and very wet soggy bread. I 100% believe it was because of the day we went and timing. I would bet under normal circumstances this would have been outstanding. Let me stress they are as great as you have heard in every way. Just try to go when it isn't insane in Charleston.
