Night staff great, day staff trash, saw front desk lady yelling at customer for asking simple questions and she had an attitude. Definitely dont recommend to anyone who values customer service.

Nice hotel nice employees over all very comfortable and relaxing only thing missing is an indoor pool... I will say this its way better then the Baymont Suites across the street where they don't give a d_mn about they visitors

I stayed at the Super 8 In Waterloo on December the
22nd. After my stay I had noticed that there was a duplicate charge on
my Mastercard. When my calls and emails were not returned I went
directly to the front desk where I spoke to the manager who at that time
apologized and said I would get the duplicate charge back in 5-10
business days. Today after speaking with the manager I am extremely
angry and frustrated after she personally attacked my character and
accused me of staying for two nights. She said I will not get my money
back until I can come up with proof that I didn't stay there the second
night, blaming this error on me and offering me no help to a solution.
How can I come up with proof if I wasn't there? I find this extremely
unreasonable and very inappropriate. There are no words to describe how
poorly this situation was handled. By far the worst customer service I
have ever encountered.

The only thing decent about this hotel was the bed itself, we didn’t find any evidence of bugs and the bed was comfy. However, the rest of the room and hotel was poorly kept up, very dated, and there were multiple damages. Any “fixes” were poorly done in themselves. The door across the hall from us was completely split down the center. We could clearly hear the upstairs guests as I’m sure downstairs could hear us. The elevator was like walking into an old horror scene and had a lot of wear on all sides. Breakfast included a nearly empty waffle maker, hardly any fruit (which was also hard to reach), and coffee. The employees all seemed very tired and dissatisfied themselves. The parking lot was very unkept as well, lots of divots and holes. Even driving to the hotel, when heading east you can easily see the Super 8 sign but heading west, we only saw a small and poor “now hiring” banner attached to the fence. The building itself had no markings whatsoever that displayed Super 8.
The cost was cheap to where we already had low expectations but it was pretty alarming when the building and staff didnt seem to be associated with Super 8 nor wish to be.
