Karl was awesome!!!! I went there last minute yesterday as he was the only bike shop open until 7pm I just needed someone to make sure I assembled my bike correctly (my brakes were disc brakes and they were squeaking) and ensure everything was working properly - do not use apple maps to find him as there are 2 bradley streets in new haven and apple maps almost brought me somewhere completely different thankfully I called and Karl gave me directions!!! Great service and even more a great person to deal with! I even learned some things I never knew before! I will be taking my bike here from now on its a little far from where I live but every other bike shop I have been too they have been arrogant and rude. Go see Karl and his crew for all your bike needs!!!! Ill be back soon for my bike tweeks!!! :) Thank you Karl for your knowledge and kindness.

If you want personal attention, this is your place. It may be small but you (and your bike) will be attentively taken care by one of the most avid bikers in the area. They also sponsors rides throughout the year, if you want to get out and and see the New Haven area and meet new people.

Karl is without a doubt one of the most knowledgeable and thorough bike mechanics I've met. He truly takes care of his customers, from full service custom builds (dang those Royal H paint jobs are fresh!) to seasonal tuneups, and can keep you grounded in the world of ever-changing disc brake standards and handlebar tape designs.

I brought my bike to other shops and they just couldn't adjust it properly. Karl fixed my bike perfectly. I am so happy with the way it is working now. I can't thank you enough, True Cyclery.

Gorget about getting your bike tuned- just come to hang out with Karl! You will encounter a hilarious, laid-back guy with a tremendous love for biking, and as a bonus, he will answer any questions you have, fix your clicks and clanks, order custom parts, fit your bike to your body shape, and even build you a bike from the frame up. Highly recommended.
