I rented a townhome for two years with A&B and had a fantastic experience. They always came out to replace things that were broken (batteries in smoke detectors, blinds, dishwasher) and were very pleasant people to interact with. One Thanksgiving, the dishwasher broke. I called and left a message, then about two days later, I came home from work and found a new dishwasher was installed! I loved my place and had no issues with it. The only potential gripe I could have is that one time I woke up to my house being shown-- they texted my roommate saying they were showing the place that afternoon but forgot to text me. However, that's nothing when compared to two years of no problems. I would rent from them again if I was living in Columbia, and only stopped because I moved out of Columbia. Great experience, would recommend!

Very unprofessional! Rent was cheap but that was the only pro this place had. The house was a dump with multiple things wrong with it; we called to have them fix it and they would either hang up on us or wait 5 days before sending someone out. They messed up our lease and the payments and wouldn't fix it when we called them out. They were also very rude to the customers. Do not sign with them!

I hate posting negative reviews but I have to make this one. This past spring, the office never once returned my calls about the fact that I was being billed TWICE each month for my utilities because my apartment was listed under two different numbers. For several months. (Im so glad Columbia Water & Light finally came out to do something about it TODAY, months and months later.) This stressful experience not only cost me my time, but also a good amount of money. I hope A&B can read this review and learn from it.

They are highly unprofessional, rude, dishonest people. They knew of repairs needed in my unit in April and they have yet to do one thing. A day before I left to go on vacation I went in to renew my lease that still had 6 weeks on it. They said they rented it out. I had to leave the next day. I have found no place to go. They said they didn't know I wanted to stay. That's bull! Two days before they complimented the landscaping I did to clean up "their" courtyard and they liked my garden. Why in hell would I put that money, time and effort in if I had no intention to stay, they made a mistake and won't right their wrong. I'm coming up in being homeless because of them. I just moved in 10 1/2 mo ago!!!! DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!!!!!!!

We have been living in our duplex for about a year. It's been a very good experience. The company was flexible with our move in schedule, worked with us and the owner to solve some tricky issues (that were the fault of the previous tenant, not the landlord), and have been very attentive when we have had maintenance issues. Wait times for resolution of issues is normal to speedy, and they send out professionals as soon as they need, rather than trying to half-way fix things until they become a bigger issue. I very much appreciate the online portal they have established to pay rent and submit maintenance requests. The only issues we've had is that sometimes the physical office is not open when it should be.
