I've only lived in 1 of their Linn apartments for a few months, and I'm already moving out. The landlord won't fix issues, like the roof that leaked all over my bed, ruining it, like the mold, like the air conditioner, like the lights that don't work... ooh, and don't forget the roaches! Every thing you ask to get fixed gets an excuse in return. I will be filing a complaint with the city, on my way out the door. DO NOT LIVE THERE or at any of their properties!!! I also wanted to add that when Darrwn Patterson wants to enter your place, no matter if youre in there sleeping, or if the door, deadbolt, and security chain are all locked, he will and will leave with the door wide open. It's happened to me twice, and when I confronted him about it, he said he owned the building and will do as he pleases.

They play games with returning your security deposit! The place I lived in always had USED needles (from the meth-heads across the street) at the bottom of the steps. The dumpster was always overflowing! I asked for the carpet to be cleaned beforr I moved in they told me it was cleaned and it wasnt! The building always smelled like marijuana and the building was infested with roaches and other insects in the year I lived there Steve's pest control was there at least 6 times!!! Which made pest come to my apartment from whichever apartment they were trying to get rid of the pest. My main issue is my money! I always paid my rent on time sometimes before it was due and its been 2 whole months and I still dont have a return of my security deposit! When you call the office number they have caller id so every time i call they purposely ignore the call!. I suggest you save yourself the hassle and DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!

I lived in a crappy apartment I rented from them for a year. I had a pretty big problem with water leaks from the apartment upstairs and a drain that backed up, flooding my apartment whenever it rained. They only did anything about the big leak from upstairs after I threatened to stick them with a hotel bill since the smell was making the place uninhabitable. I have also been moved out for over a year now, and I still have not received a refund of my deposit. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE. They only care about doing the least possible and getting their check on time.

The choice was "Poor-Fair" but my choice is VERY POOR. The house we rented had a large dead tree that Darren Patterson said he would be removing when we moved in. 18 months later when we moved out it was still there. Squirrels chewed their way into the attic and it finally took a threat of calling the health department to get him to come out and repair it. The snow storm this past spring partially collapsed the roof on the rear deck and when I called the office and left a message (rarely is someone there) no one called back or came out. There were numerous other items that weren't repaired during our time there as well. It's now 5 weeks since we moved out and we're still waiting for our deposit to be returned and we left the house much cleaner than we found it. I've called, bu of course only got voice mail and he hasn't returned my call.
