Jacobs Property Management

I honestly don't understand how people have such drastically different experiences than I had. I rented with Jacobs for almost 8 years. The first 6 years in one location, the last almost 2 in another. Both move-outs, we received our full deposits back. Caryn and Amanda helped us greatly with any issues over the years. The maintenance wasn't perfect, but generally speaking, they were helpful. The only thing we didn't like was the tremendous pressure to sign a lease very early, and as soon as you decide not to renew, it results in a ridiculously intrusive amount of showings until someone signs a lease. I understand it from a business focus, but I think the tenants really suffer from it. If not for that, I'd rate them 5 stars.

First off quit deleting this review I’ve posted twice and to no avail. Absolutely horrible they do not care about tenants all they care about is being money hungry, discrimination, and absolute rude lessors. They will find any and every reason to enter your premises WITHOUT A NOTICE!!! I highly advise not renting from them beware very unsatisfied from renting from them for a year if you lease from them do not expect to get any money back and be prepared for them to drain your bank account or wallet they find anything to get money from you. May I add that it is a pet free premises and I have two neighbors with animals they play favorites how would you like to live knowing that a company doesn’t care about your well being enough to allow an animal that emotionally helps you? These people are thieves legal thieves. Obviously pet free premises means totally different things then what they are offering other leasees one day this company will fold and hope that I can be there to back it if I could rate at no stars I would

I've never wrote a review for a company, but this property group is absolutely terrible and I want any and everyone to be aware of how awful this property group was. I highly recommend anyone that is considering a rental place from them to look else where. When it came time to get a security deposit back, I got $160 back out of a $1200 deposit. I cleaned the place top to bottom, left the place how I'd want to move in to a place, but somehow still only managed to get a small fraction back. During the last two months of living there they were in our house a minimum of 4 times a week to "show the place". So although the house was nice, the property group made it a terrible experience for the 9 months I rented from them.

We rent currently a duplex on W Bethany Dr , Jacob Property decided not to re sign a lease with us this past Feb. due to being late payers , we could never get ahead because of the shit load of late fees sometimes we had to pay $800-1000 a month, when our rent is $675 a month due to late fees , when moving in we asked about the area and she told us she couldn’t tell us due to some law , We have had shootings and someone broke into our car and back door, they won’t work with you at all to get a different rent due date and that was denied. I could go on and on about how we tried to ask them to work with us and they say that their best interest remains in the landlord not the tenant. They always got the large sums of money even though we couldn’t always afford it. I have read through reviews about the deposit looks like I shouldn’t even bother cleaning because they are going to take all they can get anyway. Now it’s time for showing the duplex that I’m currently still living in. They never give us 24 hour notice. Say they are coming at 11am and show up at 12 in the afternoon saying sorry we had other houses before this one like I’m suppose to care. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM JACOB PROPERTY!!! It’s going to be hard to re rent because of our rental history with this company due to the late fees and no grace period! Save your self and find someone who will to work with you and your family if you have one. This is a true story !

This company is a joke, they are unprofessional, and completely incompetent . Not only did my lease list a hot tub as an amenity, But they didn’t negotiate rent price with me at all after I realized that the hot tub had been broken during the last tenants lease. The fact that they knew this hot tub was broken and were told by their maintenance team months before I signed or even asked about the place, they still kept it listed on their property. They were unwilling to accommodate me for their miss leading business practice and even better, the following spring when they started showing my house with all my stuff still in it, they left my back door unlocked. Then when they came to remove the hot tub because it was broken and had been for a year now, they notified me after their crew are already in my backyard and didn’t tell me they would be going into my house and for the sugar on top, they even left a little trash behind. These people are so unprofessional and it saddens me because I know there is no entity out there that holds these businesses to any kind of professional standard. May the buyer\renter beware. It sucks that they can create reasons to take so much money from people and never reinvest in their customers or their properties. Their ability to maintain their properties when they are vacant is laughable. I’m sure any review on this that is remotely positive was done by internal employee trying to help their image. I’m surprised they’re at a 1.9 and not an 0.5.
