It is true. He is a bit old school with himself. But, if you want your stuff fixed at a very fair price, and are not looking for someone to stroke your ego while he is there, then this guy is your man!
Just got off the phone with him to schedule a repair on my washing machine. I keep this guy in my back pocket for sure.

WORST SERVICE EVER!!! STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS "company" (It consists of an unprofessional elderly man named, Paul)
Paul starting looking at washer and dryer, cleaned it without me instructing to do any of this! This was for an insurance claim for water damage. I only needed him to take a look, he knew this ahead of time when I made the appointment. Instead I was insulted and treated like a 1950's housewife and told "it's common sense that repair men work and get paid for service." I was then asked bluntly for 125.00 cash or check for his 25 minutes worth of service, which by the way consisted him using my paper towels and wiping some lint away. RIP OFF!!!!

Just completed a repair on my stove, the one pilot would not light. While the service request was very prompt the repair person was not very friendly, some people are not very talkative, which is ok, it is not a prerequisite to being a good repair person, but it helps with customer service. He cleaned and made the electrical contact better and the stove now lights, this took less than 10 minutes. The service call is 25.00 dollars which is reasonable. The 60.00 to clean the igniter for less than 10 minutes was very extreme , that works out to $360.00 per hour. Be very careful when you call these people. My total bill was $85.00

SAVE YOURSELF PROBLEMS AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS SO CALLED COMPANY!!!
I called to have a Gladiator fridge repaired. I called at 8:30 in the morning. Some barely coherent man answered. He sounded like he was intoxicated. He gave me a 3 hour window from 11-2 that he would show up. He came at 2:15 with no apology for being late. He drives a run down minivan with no company name on it.
He had never seen a fridge like mine, even though it is very common and is sold by Sears. He kept asking me ridiculous questions that you think any repairman would know. He said "Are you sure this section is your fridge and not your freezer?" After an hour passed with him fumbling around, he said "well I don't know, could be your compressor, I thought it would be the fan but it ain't." Then he changed his mind and said it was due to dirty coils.
He then charged me $105!!! He wanted the check made out to "Paul Buckley". There is apparently no true company name. He had wrote an invoice on a piece of paper when I asked for one. At the top he wrote "Paul Buckley", I couldn't read the rest of it. I asked him if he paid taxes and he got a bewildered look on his face.
Turns out it wasn't dirty coils or the compressor, and his fumbling around didn't fix the problem.
