Sears Appliance Repair

It was such a pleasure to see Paul arrive to service the refrigerator. He has been here before and he is always courtious, knows what has to be done and takes care of the problem quickly. I always know the work will be first class. We have the whole house Sears protection and have been very happy with the way Sears has taken care of any problems and yearly maintenance that needs to be done. Thank you Sears.

I am completely flabbergasted with Sears. I purchased an extension to the warranty on my Water Heater last December and last Feb. 21st received a phone call from the house sitter telling me that the garage was flooded. Sears came out and determined it needed to be replaced. They delivered the replacement on the 25th and then called me to tell me they NO LONGER PROVIDED installation service for the replacement and I would have to find someone to install it. I was told I'd be reimbursed for the installation but the website they sent me to to find an installer was their own site and indicated they had no Installers in the Indianapolis area. I was able to find someone to complete the installation and am still awaiting the invoice to submit to Sears since I paid them in Cash almost $400. I have always been a strong supporter of the Craftsman brand and All my appliances are Kenmore or from Sears. NEVER AGAIN !! I am strongly contemplating filing a complaint with the State Attorney General for Fraudulent business practices and the BBB as well. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM SEARS !!

First off, the technician was not dressed professionally. You would have thought there was a plumber in my kitchen if you catch my drift. The technician did not do a proper and complete diagnostic of our range on the first trip. They charged at least 3x for the bake element than what the local appliance repair shops listed. That night the oven still wasn't working after the technician said it was good to go. We had to have him come out again and then he discovered we needed a new control board and they wanted to charge us $527 for just the part and it wouldn't be installed for 2 weeks. We declined the estimate to think about whether or not to buy a new oven at that point. After a youtube video we quickly realized we could do it ourselves and found a local part store who could get it to us the next day and for $280! Find a smaller repairman or do it yourself!

Horrible! No call in advance of arrival. Preventative maintenance found nothing-cleaned thermocouple-next day water heater goes out and will not relight-was working fine before that-left no paperwork-no satisfaction in getting service-just get in line like everybody else. NEVER buy from Sears!!! only gave 1 star because it wouldn't post with zero.
