Avis Car Rental

Edited- I am having business trips to Boise almost every month for half year now. Avis car rental has very friendly helpful staff. Especially the gentleman helped me on 4/15 when I need a one way rental to other state. His name is Jonnathan Kay. He is the reason I changed my review to 5 Star. Fast response, explained the detail very patiently, he even helped me to answer questions when I reached destination and called him. Avis phone system is very hard to get local people pick up the phone! in fact NEVER. The phone number listed there only transfer to auto voice mail or remote customer service, Finally I got someone on the line by choosing "lost and found" option. That’s the trick to hold up with locals.

I have used Avis rentals at the Springfield airport several times. They have outstanding customer service; timely, courteous, and when I have asked for a bigger or different vehicle, they have always happily accommodated me.

Easy in and out. I used my AARP discount, got a VW beetle for 33 dollars for 42 hour rental period. Much less than a cab. Friendly staff. Budget was a dollar cheaper but they didn't promote smoke free cars. Although at their shared counter, the reps were exchanging vehicles so I think neither allows smoking.

THIS AVIS RENTAL COMPANY CHARGED ME FOR A FULL TANK OF GAS WHEN I OPTED OUT OF THEIR GAS SERVICE. I FILLED THE CAR OUTSIDE THE AIRPORT COMPOUND AND THEY STILL SAY I DID NOT FILL THE CAR. THEY ARE ASKING ME FOR MY BANK STATEMENT OR RECEIPT FOR REIMBURSEMENT. SHAME ON YOU JON AND OR DUSAN FOR SCREWING OUT OF $50.00 AVIS, YOU ARE NOT THE COMPANY I WILL EVER USE AGAIN ! YOU ARE CHEATERS AND THEIVES. SHAME ON YOU AVIS

Double charged me for my rental! Thank God I noticed on my bank statement. I called the local office and they basically called me a liar/ stupid. So I called corporate and they said it was "a royal mess and they were so sorry" and would refund my money! UPDATE**** Checked my bank statements to make sure they refunded what they overcharged. Glad I did, because oh no! They must have forgotten. Called and they said oh shoot, yeah we didn't refund your money like we said we would when we admitted we double charged you. Now I think they're doing it on purpose. I would never rent from AVIS again.
