Black Sand Apartment Homes

My husband and our two children have lived here for almost four years. We absolutely love living here. We always have nice, friendly, courteous neighbors, and the maintenance is ALWAYS so great. They are prompt and willing to help out with anything I need. They are even great about coming before or after my daughter's nap time. The office is always helpful and accommodating, the landscaping is nice and well-kept, and they clean inside the apartment corridors 1-2 times a week, so it always smells good. I was surprised to read the negative reviews. I believe these handful of people have happened to have bad experiences, like anyone would anywhere, but take it from me with four years experience here, this is a great, affordable place to live and I love it. The only con I would have to say is the quality of the windows. The rooms can get cold in the winter, so we arrange them differently in the winter. They are hard to close too, so we don't open them often. Other than that, Black Sand is a great place to live.

Lived here for a full year in their biggest apartments. For the most part quiet. No yelling and screaming like my old apartments. We are renewing our lease this next year for a second year. For the square footage and price its hard to beat. Pet prices are cheap as well and affordable. The staff is very pleasant to speak with and helps you if you have any questions.

This is by far the worst place in Lincoln. Horrible management and they will try to screw you out of all your deposit and extra charges when you are moving out. DO NOT MOVE HERE! They are a joke!....This is in response to your response, you may go and look at your records, the apartment was left in the same conition as when I leased it, I ended up getting all of my deposit back, the reason why you have an average of 3 stars and mine is 1 is because of the way it was handled. It was the biggest pain, and your staff made it as hard as they could to give me back my money. I have no problem with the agreement and the rules you have in place in the event that the apartment was damaged, of course you would need to repair it. That is not my complaint lol, it is the main manager you have on this particular property, not to mention that your headquarters are based out of MI and they are extremely detached from what happens at each individual property. My advice to you is to listen to all the bad reviews you have and take appropriate action from within. Hope this helps!

Illegal activity here, opening tenants' mail! This is a federal offense. Don't live here unless you want them to look through everything you order online.
