BE CAREFUL WITH THIS COMPANY THEY ARE SCAM ARTIST. I received a bill for a service I never had. I called, they said I was lying and that i needed to pay the bill. I offered century link tech to come to my house to even verify that I do not have their service let alone my house isn't wired for century link (no phone lines)., they told me thats unnecessary. Long story short, after spending 40min on hold, someone with brains got on the line and said, "i am sorry, i can see you do not have service". Basically, if you have century link or even inquire about this service, be very careful.. They are sneaky and quick to Bill.

Tl;dr: You're put on hold for a long time, they never return your calls, and progress is very slow, so you end up having to keep calling back to get anywhere. Nice people though. I blame corporate for not making things easier for the call centers.
Long version: I usually consider myself a patient person, but this experience has tested my patience and questioning whether I should continue with CenturyLink after being a long loyal customer. I called a few days ago and I was put on hold for a few minutes and was told I had to wait until tomorrow to put my apartment on the network, because of hundreds of rooms, my room is the only one that you can't register on the site. Understandable, it's Sunday, so I'll wait for their call tomorrow.
The next day comes and I don't get a call, so I call twice, both being put on hold for 15 minutes each. The second time I actually got a hold of someone and they told me it's too late and they'll call me tomorrow and told me to call earlier next time, because apparently they operate off of Central time instead despite being a 509 number.
I patiently await their call but I got no call so I decide to take the initiative and I call back two more times being on hold for 10 minutes each. After the 6th (?) call (all of which I never got any returned calls) and two voicemails, I got through with someone.
Why Century Link went away with actual offices you can come into is beyond me. I used to literally go in, sign some papers, pick up my router and be on my way in less than 15 minutes.
If the higher ups are reading this: If I learned anything from the military, is you need to be able to enable your subordinates. Your system is obviously broken and this is by not allowing your workers to do their job effectively. Instead of making them work harder as punishment or increase quotas, make it easier for them to process customers. When you're overworked, you're going to get forgetful; I shouldn't have to call back to get a half step ahead, especially when the option of "leave a voicemail" or "we'll call you back" is an option.

Worst run company ever. They promised to return my rates to a lower rate but never did . They did this twice . So I cancelled my service and returned their modem , but they charged me for the modem claiming I never returned it.
When I produced the receipt showing proof , they acknowledged I had returned it but turned me over to a collection agency anyway. It has damaged my credit over a bogus and fraudulent charge.

This is the worst internet company anyone could go though they will steal all the money they can from you...they tell you one thing then tell u another and then turn around and tell u that you have to pay more when u already payed a month and can't even use it I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place to anyone I have been though them since 2012 and this is how they want to do ppl I payed 45 on the 4th of may and they wanted another 40 on top of that bulls***
