At the Deer Path Inn on a Saturday for dinner and drinks. It was packed for good reason. The drinks are great with some very good variety. We had about a 40 minute wait as we didn't have reservations, so we don't that time near the fire place. Once we got seated in the bar for dinner, it was tough to move around. My only possible complaint would be that they try to pack too many people into your space. The food was really good. Their sushi is some of the best in the area, but they also have some great bar food like burgers (which are massive), steaks, seafood. Again, a great variety to choose from. I look forward to going back.

We dined in the pub and had fish and chips which were very good. I give them a lower grade, however, because the peas were cold, which seemed to be by design, since the presentation was highly structured. The atmosphere and service were very good. There was a problem with my drink order, that was addressed quickly and without compliant.
As a place to stay, the Deerpath Inn is 5 stars. The rooms and setting are absolutely lovely. It is very pleasant to sit in the lobby by the fireplace and have a drink. Staff are friendly and helpful.

My friend and I just returned home after a two night stay at the Deer Path Inn. If I could rate this higher than 5 stars I certainly would. From the time we arrived and were greeted by the outstanding valet /door staff. (George was exceptional) Lady Emma made sure our stay at the hotel was perfect. Additionally she shared places to go in lovely Lake Forest. Afternoon tea was the nicest I've ever attended. Food was fabulous and Hicham was attentive and knowledgable!! Can you tell I'm a little depressed having to leave this place?? I will definitely be back, and I will definitely share my experience with my friends! Thank you

Honestly super disappointed by our experience. We didn’t stay in the inn itself but we went to their English Room for a bite to eat after a family funeral nearby and there was at least 20 of us there. Seating wasn’t a problem but service was for sure. I personally got up several times to find a server myself because we hadn’t seen any kind of server anywhere in at least 20 min. Our appetizers arrived at the same time our meal did, my burger was incredibly under cooked like to the point where I sent it back, which was disappointing because we had already waited a very long time to see any kind of food. We didn’t see a server from the time we placed our order until the time our food came. Then we didn’t see a server AT ALL after they dropped off our food until I got up and asked for boxes. Service was literally non-existent. Which was SO disappointing because when you walk into the Inn upstairs someone is standing at the door to open it for you and it’s a very nice place but we received more service when I walked in and walked out of the building then I did for the hour and a half I sat in their restaurant and actually paid for. When we arrived we were talking about how beautiful and unique the place was and wondered if they did weddings and thought it would be so cool and by the time we left we were like .... well with service that bad for 20 people I could only imagine a wedding. *shudder*. Place was clean tho! That’s for sure!

A wonderful brunch! On a gloomy day the many smiling faces of the staff helped us to enjoy the afternoon. A large selection of foods not often seen at a brunch, prime rib, oysters, large shrimp, great smoked salmon, sushi, free flowing Rufino Prosecco. All of this and more was enjoyed in a comfortable setting. A special occasion destination.
