I just had another great experience at Deke's and feel compelled to share it with whomever it may concern. The staff was very helpful and pleasant to deal with, I appreciated that they did not pounce on me and my family as soon as I walked in but greeted us and let us look at our pace. The selection is vast , you will find what you are looking for. We needed some small thin tables for our living room and found just the right set, went back with my daughter when she need a new dresser and she found a perfect match to her old bedroom furniture. Support your local business owners, reject the big box stores with their impersonal service and go to Deke's!

I just had a frustrating and disappointing experience with this store. I like the look of the furniture they sell, but they were not able to match stain to an existing piece of furniture. (We weren't being picky. It was obviously from 10 feet away that it was a different color.) We waited 6 or 7 weeks to find out that it wasn't going to work. And then the owner didn't even want to talk to us (went through the sales man who was trying to be helpful, and agreed that it didn't match). The only option given was a refund. No apology, no attempt at a creative solution. I came up with one idea, but they weren't willing to really think about it. Not only did they lose that sale, but they are losing a few future purchases we were planning. The full refund was definitely helpful -- they don't promise any refund or option of refusal if you read their contract carefully. But, when you are given assurances that they can match a piece, and you know you aren't super picky about that match, you usually don't worry about those details. Buyer beware!!

After driving by for many months I decided to stop in to Deke's Solid Wood Furniture. I was very pleasantly surprised at the large inventory of high quality unfinished furniture in many styles varying from modern to traditional. The only unfinished furniture store I had previously visited did not have anywhere near the quality level of Deke's. I also learned that finishing is an add on option for what seems to be a very reasonable fee. We had just purchased a dining room set from a large chain store that could not identify the wood other than "Asian hardwood". I wish that I came to Deke's before we made that purchase. I will be shopping at Deke's in the future.
