I've had this service since 2015 and I'm looking for another provider. You get charged when someone comes to fix the equipment (they don't tell you they just add it to your bill). The internet needs major upgrades but it's my fault so they charge me. Any deals/bundles are only available to new people not their customers. The prices are outrageous and they are disrespectful to their customers. My services are pretty much bare bones and it's still $75.00 a month. That is too much. I spend too much time calling and waiting for service on this account. Can't wait until our relationship is over.

The representative was very nice,friendly and helpful. I returned products only to change my mind after she'd done all of the work to get it returned. She was so professional, she acted as if it didn't faze her. She even agreed that us keeping the product was the best thing to do in order to save money. She didn't have an attitude, which is so refreshing when doing business. We just chatted it up while she finished the process. I'm sure it helped that they were also, not very busy.

They have good choices and great channel /WiFi combination prices go check it out for yourself

The absolute worst cable/internet provider to ever exist. Poor customer service and even poorer service. There's always some excuse with them, and it's not surprising since they have a monopoly on cable providers in the this region. They can do what ever they want. Time to cut the cord completely and give AT&T my internet business.

THE WORST PROVIDER EVER! DO NOT CALL TECHS DIRECTLY IF THEY ASK YOU TO CALL THEM. CALL MEDIACOM EVERYTIME YOU HAVE A PROBLEM. That is the only way to document that you are having issues. Otherwise the customer service reps will talk to you like you are lying and think you are only out to get free service. WHO WANTS THE SERVICE FOR FREE IF IT DOESN'T EVEN WORK??!!!
If you can find some place else in this small city, please do. I've had this crappy service since November/December. It was somewhat bearable, but it kept going out. I didn't feel like dealing with all the hassle of having to take off work so I didn't complain until February. February I called and no one came out, I went into the office to inform them no one came and they said they would send someone..no one came. I called again and finally got them to confirm my appointment and I also told them that I didn't think it was right that I was paying every month, but barely getting service. The rep took care of 1 months bill for me. Great...but still terrible service so he sent a tech out, but had to wait awhile for an appointment. The tech came out and said he needed to fix the wiring. He came back to fix that, still issues. He then said we needed to replace the box. He ordered a box and the wrong one came. He then had to come back AGAIN when the new box arrived. This was by the end on March beginning of April that i finally got someone to come out and fix the internet...but guess what... it's now May and the internet still goes out, I can't even connect to the connection that says "5G" (which the service rep just told me is labelled wrong and should actually be the 2.4...wow). I texted the rep that had already come 3-4 times, but he didn't respond anymore, so I called Mediacom to set up another appointment. The tech came for a short time, looked around and said we probably need a new box (well I have only had that one for less than a month). He then said he had to get a new box and while I was in my room letting him do his thing, he actually left my house without saying ANYTHING and never came back. He closed out my ticket and didn't make any service notes at all. He just closed it like he was done the job and my internet was completely off after that. I called customer service again and they tried to reach the tech, but couldn't. They claimed a supervisor would contact me, but instead of that happening, they sent me an email for an appointment 2 days later....are you kidding me? I waited almost a week for this appointment, the tech just leaves my house without fixing anything and then I have to wait another 2 days without internet? wow....So I called again, I spoke to some incompetent call center supervisor who was no help (Antoinette) and she basically told me that all they could do is send someone out sometime that day by 8pm. Nothing else was offered, except a very dry and generic "sorry for the inconvenience" she also told me that medicom does not compensate for inconveniences, so even if they are at fault they won't do anything about it. Then she told me that since the tech walked out on me that she would offer $20...$20 on my bill, but she claims that there aren't any real service records on my account so she can't do more than give me $15 for messed up service. How do you have 2 technicians come between 5 visits and there aren't any records....here is how.....The techs get over, and so does the company.
If you call the techs directly, they don't put it into the system so there is no record. ALWAYS CALL MEDIACOM...NEVER THE TECHS. Also, if you have certain issues, Mediacom does not code it as a technical issue all the time. So when I had to get the wires fixed and a new box, they did not record that as a service issue although my internet was still not working well between getting those services. So in the system it shows that I only had 1 service call. They don't care what issues you tell them you have been having or that you reported to a technician. If it is not put into the computer system as a technical complaint they will not care...BEWARE!
