Pennsylvania Great Dane Rescue

My most recent Dane was the second I adopted from Jean Matvey in the last 12 years. Each time, I found Jean was perfectly honest with me regarding the history and her experience with the personality traits of the Danes. She knew what I was looking for regarding size and temperament and she helped direct me, without pressure of any sort, to the Dane that she felt was right for me. My first Dane from her was a treasure and this most recent Dane I adopted in April 2017 has proven to be an answer to my prayers. Jean is a true animal lover with the interests of the Dane uppermost in her mind. I highly recommend her to any interested Dane adoptive parent!

My review comes from the opposite side..Jean and other guardians of Great Danes in Pennsylvania - merged and "rescued" a Dane/Lab that I had adopted and quickly realized I was out of my comfort zone, due to my age and her immense energy and need for room to run etc. I wanted to get her somewhere that I knew would understand her and see who and where she would be best placed so as to not get into rotation again and have a repeat of what my experience was. Highly caring and in my estimation they went above board to bring her from Delaware to Pittsburg. I would highly, highly recommend them and trust in their wisdom and understanding of the breed and if it will be a win/win situation for ALL involved! They have my total confidence and gratitude.
