Adopted a Sweet Kitten from PAL..Really great woman... Great Experience. Highly recommend using them for your Adoption. The Animals are well cared for.

We recently inquired about a dog, and even brought our current dog for a meet and greet. The papers were filled out, the only thing left was to wait and hear back from our landlord. We didn’t hear back for a few days, so decided to give the shelter a phone call. Heard that the dog we had been interested in, filled out the paperwork for, and had a hold on had been given up for adoption to another family. Unfortunately, we will not be back to this shelter in fear that any other dogs we place on hold may be given to another family. Our family is sad to have lost out on a good fit to our home.

My friend was looking for a dog. She settled on one and filled out an application and they told use that we would hear something in two to three days. After not hearing anything, my friend called them on day four and five, with a call back that the dog she wanted was still there. So we took my dog there to make sure they got along, which they did, however we were ignored while we where there. We thought the dog had to go to the bathroom so they came and got her and never brought her back. We went to ask more questions and we were told the board was meeting that night and we should hear something the next day because there were 3 applications and a decision would be made that night. Well, we never heard back. My friend got a different dog and I just saw that the dog my friend wanted is still there. That poor dog could have had an awesome home for the past two weeks instead of a cold shelter. If they didn't like her, call and say she doesn't meet the qualifications form them. Now to see they lied to us. Very sad.

We adopted a puppy from PAL about 3 months ago. Couldn’t be happier about the whole experience and of course our new family member. Great staff and volunteers. Thank you!

very attentive towards animals, clean facility, accomadating. Human area small and cramped. parking mud and gravel. For pet I rate 5, for human 3 stars. 4 stars. also great follow up
