I would give it no stars of I could. I flew in for the weekend and prepaid for my reservation. Upon my arrival I was informed after I checked in that they are having issues with their key system and that one of the employees will have to escort me to my room and unlock the door. No big deal especially when I asked the young lady about how long before they will have the issue resolved and she replied a few minutes or so. I figured I could relax a little and then head back out. Two hours later I try to call the front desk and the phone doesn't work so I come down to the front desk and wait in line to speak with the manager. As I begin to Express my frustration with being stuck in my room he replies that I am free to go wherever and someone will open my room door for me whenever I needed. Ummm who spends their money at a hotel and have to be let in their room every time they want to leave? He did give me the phone number to the property group to call and see if they will compensate me at a later date. Needless to say I am not staying and will get a full refund.

We didn't stay at aloft but we parked there while we were away on vacation. The staff were very helpful, polite and had great customer service. In particular, the shuttle service driver Melvin was really great. He was very polite, funny and charismatic. Definitely would recommend parking your car at Aloft if you are flying out of bwi.

I would not recommend this place to anyone! It was my first time to the East Coast & I booked a 2-night stay via a 3rd party reservation 3 months in advance as it was a brief visit in attempting to stay before departing on a cruise out of Baltimore the 3rd day. A week before I was to arrive, I phoned the hotel directly to state I had a slight change in my travel plans & wanted them to hold my reservation since I couldn't ck in til the 2nd night. I was already willing to take the loss of my 1st night expenses. The front desk said I needed to contact reservations. I called reservations who said I needed to call the front desk. Anyway, I was told they would make a note in my reservation & hold the room. Fast forward to the day I was to ck in...I called to verify that the reservation was still available & discovered it had been cancelled! When I arrived at the hotel, no one knew what was going on & furthermore, management wasn't available. Finally, I did get to speak with a mgr but ended up being charged a 3rd night & they had one room left! Then there was no soap available & they said they were out in addition to no water pressure in the shower. Anyway, I never got an apology. I fought for 3 weeks to finally receive a refund for my extra night.

The location is very convenient with nearby hotels, restaurants, movie theater and as well as the airport. The rooms have your basic necessities with a slightly modern decor. Just enough space to be comfortable. The service was adequate but they can improve their customer service tremendously. Food was subpar and overpriced for what they served. There's a bar, Indoor pool and gym which is nice. There are also shuttles available to the airport. The overall experience was good but with little improvements could of been way better.

Worst hotel I have ever had the displeasure of working with. Horrible customer service. Horrible management. Does not care about customers. Not accommodating at all. Dirty lobby. Zero frills rooms. Lightbulbs out in bathrooms. Won't let you check in at 3 pm. Dysfunctional front desk. Stay far away.
