Blue Pan Pizza West Highlands

Most people might have tasted or heard about Chicago Style Pizza, the famous deep-dish pizza! However, for "Detroit Style Pizza", many people might have no clue about it! I myself am one of them. So, this is my very first time for this dish! It is surprisingly good!!!  It is a rectangular pizza that has a thick crisp crust and toppings you can choose and they will make it fresh here at the Blue Pan Pizza!!! It goes very well with the colorful salad ;)

5 stars for the food, without question. Always been a good dish regardless of my order. The dining area is small, so large parties are not ideal. Take-out or a 2 person table (with a wait) are what you will find here, but trust me, it is worth the wait. Small but quality beer selection, decent wine and killer cocktails.

Great Detroit style pizza. My favorites are the Brooklyn bridge and sweetie pie. Small space so plan accordingly. If you live in the neighborhood, call ahead and place a take out order. Large can easily serve 4 people.

Good thick crust. Also decent gluten free crust. But seriously lacking in toppings. 5 pizzas ordered over 2 visits (one in house and one take out) and 4 of the 5 pizzas have been seriously lacking toppings. Thick crust like that is meant to have more loaded on top! A one topping pizza should have that topping spread all over the pizza not averaging one tiny piece of ingredient per slice. A Detroit pizza with three meats was cut so that three entire slices had no topping whatsoever (except cheese) and the other slices had at most two pieces of meat. This is not an issue with Chicago style pizza. Does Detroit style pizza equal wimpy toppings? It sure seems like it. I want to like this place but $170 spent over 2 visits for 5 pizzas, 2 garlic breads, 1 dessert, 1 sandwich, and 2 salads is way too much money for pizza with that little of toppings.

Phenomenal pizza! These guys make a few different crusts, but there is no need to search beyond the Detroit style. Fluffy dough, burnt cheese along the edge and spectacular toppings (particularly the naturally cased pepperoni!) This pizza is incredible. By far the best I've had in my two years in Denver. Well done friends!
