Highland Tap and Burger

Edward and I were looking for a place to have dinner while on vacation in Denver. Our mindsets that we were looking for a high quality restaurant where we could take our time and enjoy our food and the atmosphere. It was a Thursday night between 7 or 8 o' clock. We were told there would a twenty minute wait and happily accepted, taking ourselves to the bar to grab a couple of craft beers, and then to the patio warmed by classy stone fire pits. On time, twenty minutes later we were seated and greeted by lovely hostess and waitress. The waitress was very helpful in selections of beer to suit your tastes, accommodating to our menu requests, and attentive despite how many tables she had. When we got our wings and bacon cheeseburger, we were excited to find that the wings were exquisitely smokey in flavor and well textured and seasoned. The burger bun was fresh and looked like it hadn't been store bought. The vegetables were flavorful and crisp. The burger itself tasted like a perfectly seasoned, artisan burger. At other places of similar variety we've been to their food and drink leave you feeling bloated, heavy. But not so at Highland. The only complaint we thought of was that the music inside was a little loud, but everything else was so spot on that we didn't notice it that much. The volume outside was perfect though. As Edward put it, "If you've thought about going here, yes." A side note: Edward often refers to me a Sweets on account of my mad sweet tooth. Highland Tap and Burger has no dessert menu and I loved it all the same.

Good bar, good food. Nothing over the top, but consistent. Great for KSU football games. The definition of a 4 star - which is a compliment. I've never personally heard of anyone having a poor experience here, and it's just a regular thing. I think we've come to expect 5 stars or nothing - but this place has been solid for the 4 years I've come - and that's worth more to me than a 5 star trend-driven place any day of the week.

Great place to grab some burgers and beer! My friend and I love coming to Highland Tap and Burger to build our own ones. The atmosphere is always comfortable and inviting, the waitstaff is helpful and friendly. I highly recommend.

Absolutely delicious. Every list is also quite impressive. I really enjoyed every aspect of our meal. The burgers were spot-on!

This is a good spot for beers and food on a casual night out. We stopped in with a group, later in the evening, and enjoyed the great selection of beers. The duck fat fries were great, and our service was good.
