Liked the varied food and drinks. They cover the range of food groups lamb fish, seafood, vegan, chicken beef.. So there is something for everyone. The 2 way lamb was very good, the flat iron steak was unique but tasty marinade. The 3 course dinner for$35 was the way to go. Lots of those unique craft cocktails to pick from and always a fan of beet salad with goat cheese arugula. 3 people with drinks and 2 desserts was $200 so not cheap. The portions are not large for the price V service was very good and never had to seek anyone out at any point. They have valet parking as the streets get full most days. Will go back

Fabulous place and if in Denver is a must. The food, wine and atmosphere make for a very special evening. This isn't the cheapest of places but is well worth it for those who want to treat themselves. The food was so fresh. My husband and I ordered the rockfish and it was incredible. Go!

The food here is full of flavor and really well done! I highly recommend coming here any time of the day. The staff is also super nice as well. The place tends to be packed all the time, so make sure you get a reservation or come in early!

Best beet salad of my life! Ingredients were super fresh and the flavor was amazing. The perfect balance of acid. Everything here was A+, from the service to the atmosphere to the food. I only wish I lived closer so I could come again. Please open one of these in DC!

I had a long drive from Denver to Colorado Springs and decided to stop for a bite. Root Down has been a Denver favorite of mine since first trying about 8 or 9 years ago so if you are vegetarian or exploring this is definitely a must visit. The place has a neat vibe inside with a dim light effect or you can sit outside as well. First was the drink menu with some eclectic options which I unfortunately passed because I had a good hour's drive yet ahead. The only challenge is what to choose as there are so many wonderful options. After arriving I was easily seated even though it was busy at 7:30. After perusing the menu I settled on the beet salad, gold and red with arugala and hazel nuts and feta cheese, which was fresh and delicious! The main entree was up next and was the fried tofu and arrived hot and not long after my salad plate was cleared. The tofu was fried perfectly and was accompanied with some root veggies and cauliflower. The portion was healthy and know this is on the spicier side yet not spicy eough to avoid. Again, this is a gem from my perspective so bring friends and your appetites and you will not be disappointed. Sonny was my server and was quite knowledgeable and very much attentive. Lastly, parking can sometimes be tricky but Valet and self park for $5 made it a lot easier so best not waste your time driving around the block looking for a spot, get in there and eat!
