Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Ames, IA

The staff was so courteous, I thought I had room for Friday and Saturday night, my niece only made mine for Saturday, they were able to get me in and close to the other 5 family rooms that night!! Nice breakfast, loved hanging out by pool and then later in comfy lobby. Great hotel for family time.

The staff was very friendly! The rooms were big and clean! Breakfast was delicious! Very happy with our stay! The only negative was that there was only three restaurants within a 5 min walk!

Stayed here hoping to relax. Upon entering the lobby area is beautiful. The breakfast area was nice also and that's the reason for the two stars. However I would give 0 stars for my experience. Upon entering the room I thought the updates were nice. I started to notice some pretty gross things though. There were blood stains or some type of brown finger prints on the curtains. There were crumbs all in the front dresser area by the TV. I also got the worst night sleep ever due to the very rock hard bed which I found ironic since there was a picture of rocks by the work desk area. Woke up in the worst pain ever. Not only that but the alarm in the room went off at 3:30 a.m. causing me to get up and figure out how to turn it off since the alarm is also located by the TV. The most terrible thing was a giant spider visitor. I had my bra hanging up with my clothing on the hangers they provide. Upon putting my bra on a giant spider came flying out and then ran under a chair. At that point I had enough and checked out as soon as I could. The price is decent however would not recommend staying here if you do not like rock hard beds, crumbs, filthy curtains, and spiders. Also woke up with a slight rash on my arm and sinus issues when I was perfectly fine walking in. Horrible experience!!!!!

Great hotel. Very clean lobby and prefect meeting space. I was there for a work meeting. The price was great and service from the staff was exceptional. We will come back for future meetings.

The location is great. It is on the edge of Ames but you can drive less than 5 minutes and be "in" Ames. The rooms are always clean when we stay and the staff is very nice and professional.
