Holiday Inn Columbia East-Jessup

First, the bedding was washed in something that made my skin breakout. I have never had this issue in any other hotel I have stayed at very dissatisfied. Also, I appear to have gotten pink-eye while staying here. The Hotel looks very nice throughout the Lobby, hallways, and rooms but there were small issues with many areas of the hotel. Shower was not tall enough to stand up in and still wash my hair. And I am only 5'10. The bathroom was built very small, it seemed for me. The bedding was comfortable except for the above issue. But the bed itself was lumpy and not comfortable so I could not sleep well. Breakfast was good overall. And the bar was good for a quick bite. But, my beer was flat and old (Bluemoon) and food for dinner was average. WI not be returning.

The hotel overall was good. Not a 5-Star rated like the Disney World Resort, or Waldorf Astoria, but it does the job. I like something a little more than three Continental breakfast. This hotel has a small bar, and a restaurant to eat dinner if you don't want to go out. I'm sure there are some minor things wrong that can easily be identified, but overall, this is the hotel I specifically choose when I visit Maryland in this area. I like it, and it's fine for what I like in a hotel.

We have stayed here several times a year for the past six years. The hotel is lovely. Beds are comfortable and rooms are nice. I must say that our last visit was a bit disappointing with regard to the front desk staff. We waited to check in while the person on duty chatted and joked with another employee. When he did get to checking us in, I expected a more friendly greeting considering that we are returning guests. That is one of the best qualities of the Apex, NC Hilton Inn Express—- its southern hospitality and the genuine welcome we get each and every time. It’s always nice to feel like your business is appreciated. I also missed the lovely water jar with lemons as you come into the lobby. Restaurant was fine.

I have stayed at this hotel several times now and it's always extremely clean, comfortable, and convenient. The staff have always been kind and considerate and the location is ideal for any needs you may have. Highly recommend!

The location is quiet and my room is far from the elevator thankfully. The restaurant food was enjoyable but the breakfast buffet eggs were on a burner that was too high. Laundry services unavailable due to non working machines. Front desk did nothing to accommodate this problem. No microwave in room as it had to be ordered. Was put on desk instead of near the TV and fridge. Staff was very warm and friendly except for one person at front desk upon entrance of stay. EDIT - 12/31/2017 I was given a 12-15 credit towards the lack of laundry facilities on this stay. I did have a quiet interesting dinner meal which consisted of firecracker shrimp no fire but crunchy, sweet potato fries (no sweet potato mentioned in the outdated menu) that had feta cheese and cranberries on them, and broccoli which was perfectly cooked with butter. For dessert, I ordered Key Lime Pie to which I was told was unavailable. So I ordered cheesecake. Must to my surprise, the key lime pie made it to my table with watery strawberry something complete with the leaves from the strawberry pureed maybe?? The leaves were a complete turn off as was the addition of the strawberries to the already delicious pie.
