Holiday Inn Express & Suites Columbia East - Elkridge

When I travel , normally I stay at the Hilton hotels, But Holiday Inn had a great rate for me in a room with a whirlpool tub. Later that night, i tried to use the tub but when i tried to fill the tub , Only warm water would come out and without any water pressure, I called the front desk and she told me that she was the only one there. I then tried to take a shower in the tub in the bathroom, but when i tried to open the drain,the knob to the drain was broken. I had to take my shower with the tub filling up with water. Instead of staying 2 nights I only stayed the one night. They told me that I was only being charged for the one night , but when the charge cleared on my credit card, they had charged for 2 nights ! The only thing they offered me was 5,000 extra points. I WILL NEVER STAY AT A HOLIDAY INN AGAIN !!! I saw the response that the "owner" left me . It's the same generic response that they give anybody ! Don't worry , I'LL NEVER BE BACK !!!

Very good value for the price. The breakfast buffet was high quality and very tasty. They have one of those machines that make pancakes. The area is small however so if you get down there and it’s busy you may have to sit in the lobby and eat. There is an indoor pool but it’s super small. The room was clean and tidy. There was a fridge but no microwave. Check in staff was super friendly. The lady at the desk on the last night, was not so friendly. Easy interstate access and a short drive to everything we needed to see. We would definitely return.

Upon arrival it was a bit confusing it is tucked away being the gas station. The receptionist were very helpful and nice. I CANT complain with this hotel at all. Well one thing and that was because my room which was 415 DID NOT HAVE A microwave. My kids really enjoyed it for the indoor pool. It's a nice small but standard pool with a capacity of 20 persons. My kids spent 4 hours here playing ball, Marco polo and various other water games. My husband enjoyed the gym which was across the hall, and he was able to look at all of us play in the pool. The gum is very quaint as well but it gets the job done. The room: it was great except for the microwave. Our room was as advertised. It was situated towards the highway and we could hear the cars and trucks go by. Also it was below the Holiday Inn Express sign so neon blue lights shined through NO WORRIES it had 2 room darkening shades and boy was is really dark. The pool: it was a bit cold though the room itself was pretty warmed so I assumed the water would be too... NOPE pretty cold I did a couple laps made me a little warm but had to get out.(My kids loved it though) I called the front desk and literally 2 mins she was there to see if she could warm the pool up. She couldn't but she called the manager left a voicemail to let them know that when they check the pool in the am turn it up a little. Hands down I would stay again this is one of the best hotels with accents of exquisite crystal royal blue decor, clean, and vibrant.

Excellent hotel. Nice breakfast woth plenty of options. Staff is very good. Parking is good.
