National Car Rental

The service from the customer associates was great. My complaint is with the overall selection of cars as of the last several months. I am pretty regularly traveling for my job, and have seen the overall quality and selection of the vehicles decrease - with all National sites. In addition, I don't see any difference in being an Executive Elite member of their rewards program. Quite frequently I will be behind someone picking up a vehicle that is not a member of the program at all, and they get offered the same vehicles that I get offered as a member of the program. Some of the vehicles that were previously offered to the EE members, are now considered "Premium" vehicles in the National vehicle line and require an additional fee. Why have a rewards program for regular customers that doesn't give you any benefits, that someone not in the program also receive?

Pros: Nice people and best car prices at the LYH airport. Cons: as with all the other rental companies at LYH, expect to wait 10-15min to get someone at the counter, since they leave to wash cars etc, making it hard to do either job well.

Wanted a minivan, but got a big Ford SUV. The MPG usage was not good, but the vehicle was large enough for my visiting family. It did not hold a very consistent track on the road, and felt like it was moving side-to-side all the time. I would have preferred a minivan.

I have been working with National Car Rental at the Lynchburg, VA airport for years for both personal and work needs. The staff are always very professional and anticipate my needs. This is important to me and is what keeps me coming back. They provide great cars and vans and the price is the best value on the market. This is a top notch company and I plan to use them exclusively.

Always friendly and great service. the staff is first class and the sars are clean and well taken care of.
