Pep Boys Auto Service & Tire

Alvin at counter was extremely helpful and courteous. He was extremely nice to me and was very helpful and respectful to an elderly lady who came in while I was waiting. Great customer service makes up for car service being a little slow. I’m from North Carolina, but when I’m visiting and need repairs, I will definitely come back because of him!

Awesome and very caring !!!! I came in one hour before closing on a SATURDAY evening. They were very courteous and caring. I needed a tire badly. The wire was showing, and I was babysitting so imagine 3 kids, rain, and coming in one hour before close. I felt welcomed and valued. They even helped getting the car seat in and out of the car. I usually go to Postles but they were close. I appreciate the convenient hours and staff here !!!! GREAT job guys I will be back !!!

Leland, Tim and KeAndre THANK you so much for a job will done at Pep boys on Skyland in Tuscaloosa. The computers were down when I came in for my appointment at 9. And Leland apologized for it and asked me to come back between 10:30 and 11. I did and right away they got to work on my car. Thanks guys.

Absolutely the worst service I've ever received. First of all, I walk up to the counter and no one (3 people standing there) greeted or acknowledged me. I had to talk first. The wait was long (2hr), so I asked if i could put my name down have lunch and come back. They said come back at 2pm and we'll get you in. I came back at 2pm walked in, and same guy with braids is playing on his phone and doesn't say anything. I waited another hour as they took two more cars before me. I was the only one waiting and the rest were drop offs, but they still didn't take me first. I will not be returning to any Pepboys here in Tuscaloosa ever again!! This is a company car, so I called around and found a place with no wait and walked out with my business. I only went there because I used to love Pepboys. NEVER AGAIN!! Please read other reviews... I wish I had before going there.

Had new tire pressure sensors installed on my wife’s 09’ Pontiac G8 GT. I purchased the sensors myself and called and talked with Alvin to see if they would install them for me. He said yes they could to stop by around 2pm. We came to town to eat lunch and went ahead and stopped by after to see if they could go ahead and install them. Alvin said he would check and came back and said sure they are finishing up on another now. While waiting he checked the sensors I had purchased with the sensor tool to make sure they all worked before installing. After a little over one hour they were done and we were good to go. The total price to install was even less than he had quoted over the phone, very professional and will be back.
