I was looking for a place to relax after tax season. I found it here. It's a block away from the beach but you can still have a view. Great customer service. Sheba at the front desk went the extra mile to make sure that I would have a good stay. Once I got there she made sure I would enjoy my room. Thank you Silver Beach!! Also their breakfast yes it's your basic continental breakfast but you have to try their scrambled eggs very delicious. I have added some pictures from my room that I stayed in.

Hotel is beautiful and service is great! My air conditioning didn't work when I first arrived. They immediately moved my room, with no hassle. The room is great and everything is newly renovated. Only issue is parking, but otherwise a great hotel.

This hotel has a nice location but they really shouldn't legally allowed to advertise the rooms as "Lake View". The mouth of the St. Joseph river is not the lake. Which you can barely see from a "Lake View" room.
The Pros: Nice location. Close to the beach/pier. Has potential to be a great hotel if it is renovated and managed properly.
The cons: Smells like a cheap bar and cigarette smoke with a mix of musty bowling alley when you walk in. The carpets were dirty in my room. The Wifi was awful and almost non-existent. The receptacle behind the bed was torn from the drywall and was showing bare wire. The ceiling has apparently been poorly repaired where it looks like a huge leak must have happened. There's paint all over the curtains and the window so it looks like the repair was done by a complete rookie. I felt like I needed to take a shower after I took a shower. Not a big fan of seeing other people's hair in the shower.
All in all this isn't a terrible hotel and it's better than a motel 6.
As someone that stays in a hotel 3 nights a week for work, I have higher standards for accommodations and most likely won't spend more time here.

It's a 50$ room in a 200$ location. The lobby is nice and the breakfast is one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had. The rooms are outdated and small, there were some ants in there and a hair on the throw pillow when we got there. There's good parking and you can walk everywhere in town. I'm 5'10" and had to duck a lot to use the shower since the shower head was really low. It was way cheaper than other hotels further away. If you can live with the room I still feel like I got a fair deal

Cleaner than other hotels I have stayed at but corners and mirror need some detailing. The tub had no drain plug so shower only. Lobby is gorgeous and looks like room renovations from top down. Walking distance from all downtown shops and restaurants also beach and river. Golf course just over the bridge. Staff was friendly and efficient.
