NYC pickup is on 40th Ave, not 6th St. Their website shows the pin by the subway exit on 6th Street. Stand here if you want to miss the bus! Pickup is on the park side of the street, on 40th Ave. You'll see lots of busses going by on 40th Ave. Our bus was scheduled to leave at 5PM. By 6PM we had drive 3 blocks (0.5 miles) in Manhattan rush hour traffic. Google said we could walk it in 12 minutes. I think we made it to the Lincoln Tunnel by 6:20. The rest of the ride to Ithaca was smooth and the driver had a great attitude the whole way. But unlike Port Authority busses, leaving from this location in Manhattan at 5PM means you're right in the middle of rush hour traffic. We arrived in Ithaca around 10:15pm. I suppose the good news is if you're late you may be able to walk to catch the bus while it's stuck in traffic...

Pros: Compared to Shortine Platinum, bus is more comfortable and cleaner and WiFi service is exceptional Cons: Once bus hits Manhattan it has to fight cross town traffic on 40th street and it takes 15 minutes or more from the Lincoln Tunnel to Bryant Park. With Shortline you would be on the subway already.

The service was good, and far better than the shortline bus I took back. The driver was a little derpy at city driving, but handled the blizzard conditions really excellently once we got out of traffic. BRB's website is easy to use, their stops are convenient, and the ticket price is competitive. I would recommend this bus company for nyc-ithaca trips.

This was awful service. The 6am bus didn't show up until 8:30am. No one from the company responded to our calls until 7:30am. Once they responded they kept providing us with inaccurate information regarding the location of the bus. When I called the general manager to ask for a refund he actually hung up on me. When I called back and asked he hung up on me or if we were disconnected he admitted that he hung up! This was awful. Please try to avoid this service. P.S. This was the day of my graduation and I missed a portion of it.

Reserved seat from NYC to Ithaca on 1:00/Sunday bus, arrived at scheduled location between 40th & 42nd and Sixth Ave/Bryant Park and the bus NEVER SHOWED UP AND NO COMMUNICATION FROM BUS COMPANY. Called the customer service number twice. They have no means of communicating with driver, so could not tell us if the bus was in- fact late or just not showing up. Very unprofessional company and customer service. No call back as promised from Customer Service rep. Waited in the cold weather for an hour. Don't understand a business that does not communicate. I would hate to be the principal owner of this company. Why bother??
