I am disappointed with the quality of work, as well as the way they handled my concerns when they were clearly at fault in the watch having issues after they cleaned it/fixed it. I brought in a watch to get cleaned. It had worked perfectly well for several years, but I had not cleaned the metal band. They cleaned the band well enough, but left a spot on the face near the 12 at the top. A short time later the glass on the front just fell off the watch. It had never fallen off before. I took the opportunity to attempt to clean the mark on the top of the face, which came right off with a basic wipe. So, I don't understand why that didn't get cleaned when I asked them to clean the watch.
However, in trying to get the back off to clean rest of the inside (since I thought they had neglected that part of the cleaning) I ended up breaking the pin. That was my fault, completely. I brought it back to Davidson, and it took them several weeks to get the necessary parts (not at all their fault) to fix it. It was fixed, but now there was a brand new mark on the top of the face *which was not there when I brought it in to have the pin replaced.* Additionally, the watch would lose ten minutes for every thirty, so obviously there was a problem with the timer. I brought it back to have the timer issue addressed and to have the new mark removed. They said the clock timing was fixed but the mark was still there. When I asked about it, they said it was corrosion from exposure. Well, the watch only got exposed in the first place because the face fell off after they cleaned the watch! Then, they had it for weeks and perhaps left it exposed. I can't say for sure. In any case, *they tried to shift the blame onto me*. They did not seem to understand or accept that the face was only exposed after their cleaning loosed the protective glass so much that it just fell off. They also didn't believe that the face was clear of the mark when I brought it back, so any new marks or corrosion happened during their time in possession of the watch. They also obviously did not test the timing of the watch after they repaired the pin, or they would have seen the problem with the timing. All of this is just poor quality control.
I'm not going to give them 1 or 2 stars because I don't think their poor work and poor service on this matter are due to any sort of malicious or unethical approach. But, I certainly won't be back to Davidson Jewelers again. I'll take my watch elsewhere to get it fixed properly.

My daughter has one of the "Neil Lane" engagement rings, it was never quite right. She sent it back to Kay's jewelry numerous times, each time it was either unchanged or worse. Finally she took it to Davidson's. He made the ring look amazing! She finally loves her ring...thank you
