Booked a car online, and when I arrived they told me they literally had no cars. Then why accept online bookings if they aren't honored? The employee was very nice and apologetic, and it definitely wasn't his fault.

Make sure your return date is not on a day they are closed, since they allow return dates on days they are closed. If you are going to be closed on the day a car return is due I would tell the customer that the return date they chose doesn't work and make it clear.
