Can’t complain comment on the staff here, but this is the hub my mail comes out of and assume this is where my letter carrier works out of and he is the issue for me. He’s had multiple complaints from residents at my apartment complex alone, so who knows what it’s like everywhere else. He wouldn’t deliver my mail for weeks and ignored my attempts to contact him (note on my mailbox asking him to call me as directed to do from a worker at this location - that was the only “help” they could give me). I met him face to face as he was delivering and he ignored me, walked away and told me “none of your business” and “why are you gonna do about it?” When I asked his name. 

I filed a complaint against him and the worker who called to follow up on it said that since they are unionized, they are untouchable. I have zero trust in this guys honor and accountability to handle my mail and apparently there is nothing I can do about it. 

I know there are a lot of good people working at the USPS, but I hate how they operate like an untouchable operation because they are a branch of the government

They'd have better reviews if people could actually access  resources here, like an actual operator.  Without having to call the 1-800 number to get the exact number FOR this location. Overall, the people here aren't that bad that I've talked to at least.

Do yourself a favor. Just go to another place to do your mail. I agree that the employees at this the Downtown Post Office are really out of line in many ways. For one, they never answer their phone. Don't bother calling them, just call another office. And, if you have the alternative, just take care of your mail at another location. Their excuse is always being "too busy" anyway, so they'll thank you for going elsewhere.

I’d honestly give this USPS 0 stars. They’ve lost 4 of my packages already. This last one supposedly was delivered to my door, left on the “porch” of my apt. I called them and they said there’s not much they can do, that I should just contact the seller. But why couldn’t you guys just leave a note on my door and take the package to the downtown location so I could pick it up? I lost money for Christ’s sake! I recommend you guys get your packages delivered to a trusted friend’s/family member’s address. Because you can’t trust the downtown  USPS. I wouldn’t feel bad if automation took USPS’s jobs because they’d actually get the job done right! Do your god damn job right!
